4" base for vertical Kallax

Solid wood base designed specifically for the Ikea Kallax shelf system. This base is to be used when the Kallax is in the vertical orientation. Please watch the installation video for clarification. I have other base designs available for the horizontal orientation.

The base installs very simply with six screws, which are included with each kit. Optional center supports are also available. This kit will work with any size Kallax.

Choose from three wood options:  White Oak, Walnut or Ash

*The White Oak version has a custom "pale oak" finish applied so that it matches the Ikea white oak color.

*The Ash wood version has a waterbased clear coat applied to keep the color as light as possible. It will range from blonde to light brown tones.

*The Walnut receives several coats of clear polyurethane to bring out the deep brown color of the wood.

Each Kit includes:

2 base pieces

6 screws

1 driver bit

plus the number of center supports that you select. Center Supports will also come with felt pads to be used as shims. (See installation video for details)
